While watching the Ganesh immersion on Hussain sagar last Saturday ...

”A” : " Mumma ... now Ganesh ji will go swimming in the lake water na"

Me : (surprised and amused) Yes, Ganesha will swim back to his home and come again next year J

We could make out from lil”A” expressions .. he too wanted to take a dip in the lake water along with Ganapati ji.... ha ha haa ...my water baby :)

He was all excited to witness the immersion and checked out the huge cranes installed especially for the occasion… screaming all the while

 “Ganpati bappa ..morya ..mangal murti ..morya”

Next day, late night ..after hitting the bed…Actually, this is the only time, when lights go off and  lil“A” finds no other distractions would he talk to us about his day… his school updates and activities…any new poems he learned …

“A” : Mumma … we have two hands na

Me : Yes

“A” : we don’t have 3hands..4 hands na …

Me : yes, see you can count ..(raising my hands) 1 hand..2 hand ..dats it

“A” : mumma Ganesh ji has 4 hands …aapko pata hai .. (after a 10 sec pause) aur woh toh “T-Shirt” bhi               nahin pahente (and he does not wear a T-shirt also)

Me : Laughed till my stomach ached

Look who's Talking :P

I had started writing this blog to capture the treasured moments of our family ..especially my three and half year old brats milestones ... Now that "A" is growing fast ..really FAST :( ... I wish the time would freeze for me to enjoy every moment .... "A" is now Three 'n' Half years old .... and he is talking, questioning, commanding, protesting (yes you read it right) ....before it all fades away, wanted to record few moments for memories ....



# The other day ..we had gone to a Movie to our fauji club ..an open air theater ...Lovely weather & my kinda movie .... we generally watch all movies here given "A" can play around with friends, its hard to make him sit at one place for more than 5 mins .... you can walk around ... get urself some drinks & snacks .... enjoy the movie ...if you don’t like it, have snacks ..catch up with friends ...and of course, not tickets ;) ....it’s a good break from daily routine and we look fwd for Thursday Movie every week .... now couple of weeks back ..."A" seems to have over-eaten his Fish Fingers .. he loves it there ... and needs to go to wash room immediately .... "M" is a hands on Father .. he volunteered to attend him and I get to enjoy my movie .... "M" tell me as they both walked in the Lounge it had an Aquarium and "A" in all excitement ...almost screamed "Papa, see ... Fish... Abhi hum yeah hi kha rahe they naa" ( Papa see.... Fish... this is what we were eating minutes back) .... the Lady in the Lounge seems to have overheard "A" obviously given his pitch... looked around pleasantly surprised and smiled ..."M" quickly clarified "A" it was fish fingers!!

Now "A" is seated and relieving himself in Men’s room... he takes his time like all kids .... chit-chatting with Papa he asks "Papa, hamein potty kyun aati hai?" ..."M" was surprised with the question but explained "A" ...see you ate all those Fish Fingers & Chapatis .... it goes to tummy ...gets digested to make you strong .. then you need to throw the shit out and make space for more Fish Fingers :) ... "A" was happy with the explanation and I was happy with the company.."M" of course, who makes all these extra efforts for us (coming lil early, driving 30kms one way in crazy Hyd traffic), loved the movie, the drink, the snacks ..... It could not have been more perfect ..Love you "M" and "A" :)

# Now few days back .... my neighbor’s seems to have gone out for a walk and their daughter, Tiny who had the keys could not unlock the door for some reasons so she came upstairs with her dog Crystal to make to call to her mother. The moment "A" saw Crystal .. he got all excited ....I asked Tiny to stay in with Crystal till her parents are back .... “A” got busy with Tiny and Crystal ... I left to get water for Tiny ... like how we do it ....I served the water in a Glass on a Tray ... wished she happily accepted ... few seconds till we were catching up and her parents were here and so she left ....
Now "A" come to me in the Kitchen and says "Mummy, I want water" ... And I say "okie ... here you go...but don’t spill" ....
Any guesses what he did next ....Well, quickly he ran and sat on the sofa in drawing rooms and screams from there ... "not like this mummy ...properly ..on the tray...like you served Tiny didi" ...WoW .... I followed the instructions .... "A" was Happy Happy!!

The very same evening after "M" is back from office .... he casually asked "A" what all he did at school today to which "A" generally replies "Aaj naa ... new friend aya tha/friend ne yeh kiya...." ....he talks about everything under the sun except studies .... and we are ok with it cause he loves his new school Kidzee ... loves his teacher 'n' puzzles .. finishes his tiffin, yes finally ...
Well coming back to where I left ..."M" had asked "A"...."Aaj apne school mein kya kiya" (what all "A" did at school today) ..."A" replies and minutes laters asks "M" .... "Papa, aur aaj aap ne office mein kya kiya" (Papa so what did you do at office today:) ...."M" was surprised with his prompt questioning but anawered "A" to his satisfaction ....

~ "M's" Birthday ~

Hello Everyone ... Been very busy lately ... Lil "A" + Office + Home keeps me Occupied ...making sure I have no Me Time ...and I'm loving it :))

It was my Hubby's "M" birthday this month on 10th and since it falled mid-week ... on the Hump-day had not big plans ... a silent at-home party we thought .... I baked a cake to suprize "M" in the morning (Thanks to my help at home Meena darling ... blessed I am to have her) ... Morning started with M finally waking up early to Study for his exams due in Aug (he needs to appear & clear these exams to pick up next rank ..poor M, I say) ...We both woke up lil "A" and asked his to wish Papa for his Birthday and he woke up declaring it his birthday ...so please wish me Happy Birthday "A" :P ... Now dats my baby:)
...packed "A" to school and M to office and I got buzy wrapping up the office work ... I work from home these days ...baked a cake and in the afternoon around 12:30 when "A" was back from school coaxed him to wish Papa on this birthday ..and finally in the evening when "M" returned from work around 7 in the evening ... my cutie pie finally wished his Papa :) ... "M" casually asked "A" now where do we go for the Birthday Party and pat came the reply "Jungle Mein" :P ... Now you know that "A" is a BIG fan of Chotta Bheem ... We broke out into splits of laughter ..
Well, the party was at KFC(25 mins drive ~ 8kms) ...closest eatery from our place ... he he hee ...It was a day well spend, we say :)

Meet my "Fam!ly"

Hello Friends .... I'm a complete new bee to this world of Blogging ... have been wanting to do take this plunge since long... this being my first post ..let me introduce you to the characters of my blog i.e; my family .. Let me first introduce you to my cuitest little brat "Jr A" ... I might address him as "Khappi" (check a Punjabi dictionary to find what it stands for ;) ..the name his father gave him as soon as he was born and you'll soon know why ;))... he is all of 3 yrs and is our darling ... a super active child ... a complete outdoor person .... Loves Chota Bheem and copies him to core ... loves Trains ...loves dancing .... Next comes my best friend first and now my husband "M" ... I've known him for over 14 years now ...with 7 years into marriage ....and now comes the "momma" of the house ..its me :) ... I'm so happy to be here and look forward to have a active presence here and make lots of friends ..Cheers !! :)
